Giant Killers

Though the subject of Giant Killers is not a new one, the author, Steve Lawson, takes you through several amazing stories of individuals who have passed through insurmountable odds and have been notably, Giant Killers.
Beginning with the life of David and his sling, the original Giant Killer, you will listen, learn and grasp about the stamina and strength available to be a Giant Killer. You may be walking into unknown territory, facing age old giants or grasping for character qualities to embark on a new journey, Giant Killers is a spiritual growth book that will challenge you.
While reading Giant Killers I personally found answers to some nagging questions of personal doubt but Giant Killers are not muscular, large, ferocious men but men given totally to God, to trust Him beyond all fears.Stepping out while knowing God.
Discover how to overcome obstacles and to seize opportunities; learning five quality characteristics that are gleaned from the life of David and others illustrated throughout the book. Steve Lawson is transparent as he uncovers his own doubts, fears and struggles. He merges faith and practicality into our everyday lives. Life is not a combination of guessing and hoping but a direct combination of faith and character. You will be challenged, moved to decision making and directed in life's unpredictable circumstances.

Take Command Navigates Through Business Decisions

TAKE COMMAND - If you like adventure, extreme leadership and emergency protocol mixed up in the business world then you will enjoy this eye opening, insightful book. The author was a Marine Sniper and now heads up Team Rubicon, a First Responder Team going into the hard hit areas of the world, when disaster strikes, they are there.

Yet the uniqueness of this book is that the author takes the training he received in the Marines and translates it into everyday steps as an entrepreneur in business. He has taken Team Rubicon into Haiti, Pakistan and more giving aid to the hurting. He talks about financial restraints, disagreements, strategies, and my favorite, the 80% solution.

In the ever changing world of business, the book takes you into making the right decision quickly, forcefully and efficiently. "Clarity in chaos" is the code word of the book and is a fast paced read of 8 chapters.

hand in HAND - The Beauty of God's Sovereignty

If you have ever questioned the sovereignty of God, deliberate and obstinate choices men make, Divine selection or the will of man then grab a copy of this book, a cup of coffee and a highlighter.

The popular fiction writer, randy Alcorn aptly describes "meaningful human choice," in a honest critique of Armenian and Calvinistic stances. This theological battle has existed through the ages but the author discusses the advantages and disadvantages and the inspirational sovereignty of God. "God is at work in a broken world," he adds in a rather heavy theological discourse.

If you have a basic knowledge of the Armenian and Calvinistic views of choice then it would be helpful before diving into the pages of the author's thesis. If you are looking for an easy read, like the author's popular fiction series, then this may not be what you are looking for but if you are in a search to discover the mix of God's sovereignty with the choice and will of man then get ready as the author uncovers the thread of truth in the "whole Bible" of God's design for the human will.
